Meet the team who'll lead the way …

Andrea Telfer 

Director of Operations SSE:   Andrea is the Vice Chair of the Board of Directors for the Four Villages Community Health Centre. Her interest in social innovation, social impact, and social finance led her to the SSE. With over 30 years experience in business across the globe working in multiple industries including healthcare and strategic project planning she brings a wealth of experience to the programs at the SSE. One of the ventures she was involved in was an entrepreneurial startup involved in creating a sustainable solution to an environmental issue.

Renee Devereaux

Director of Learning SSE:   Renee is also Professor @ Sheridan College at the School for Social Entrepreneurs.  Originally from Huron County Renee has a background in adult learning and non-profit management. She led an education-focused non-profit for many years on the Caribbean island of St. Lucia. Prior to joining the SSE, she was a Community Engagement Facilitator for the Toronto West Local Immigration Partnership, a community engagement worker at Public Interest Strategy and Communications, and the Director and Program Manager at The People’s Workshop. 


Marjorie Brans

Managing Director SSE – Ontario:   Aside from leading the SSE team Marjorie is the Canadian ambassador for the League of Intrapreneurs. Prior to the SSE, she consulted on social & environmental sustainability with Fortune 500 multinational corporations in the financial, retail, extractives, fast-moving consumer goods, beverages, and transportation sectors. Marjorie initiated and led HARITA (now R4), a project backed by global insurance giant Swiss Re. The project succeeded in creating one of the world’s first viable micro-insurance products for climate change adaptation, on the way to being scaled in 5 countries.

Chryssa Koulis

Director of Business for the Good SSE:   She joined the team at the School for Social Entrepreneurs in 2014. She continues her work as a Canadian Ambassador for the League of Intrapreneurs and recently became trained as an Action Learning Facilitator. She is a Partner of the Innovation Ecosystem where she facilitates coaching sessions for C-suite clients. She’s on the board of North York Community House and seeks out innovative business models. Chryssa is a graduate of the University of Toronto and holds an MBA from the Schulich School of Business at York University.
