Rural Talks To Rural

The Rural Talks to Rural (R2R) biennial conference has been a cornerstone event in Huron County since 2016. It champions rural development across Ontario and, through strong partnerships and collaboration, extends its impact to rural and remote communities throughout Canada. The inaugural conference at the Blyth Fairgrounds brought together participants from across the region to network, explore key rural issues, and share practical, actionable ideas. Since then, four additional conferences have established R2R as a signature gathering within Ontario’s rural landscape.

Looking ahead, R2R is expanding its reach across Canada, with upcoming events planned in Newfoundland, Manitoba, and British Columbia. These conferences continue to meet a vital need by creating space for dialogue, collaboration, and connection among those committed to strengthening rural communities. At its core, R2R is about fostering meaningful conversations – by rural people, for rural people.
