SHORE TO SHORE 2026: A Week of Connection, Creativity, and Community
What an incredible journey!
From June 16–23, SHORE TO SHORE 2026 brought people together across Western Newfoundland to celebrate the power of community through art, music, food, storytelling, and shared learning. Guided by the principles of Relational Wellness and Local Knowledge, the week created spaces for meaningful conversations, new collaborations, and bold ideas for the future of rural life.
Together with our co-collaborators at the Canadian Rural Revitalization Conference (CCRC), community hosts, artists, Knowledge Keepers, researchers, musicians, volunteers, and participants, we explored what it means to build stronger, more connected communities—one gathering, one story, and one relationship at a time.
To everyone who welcomed us into your communities, shared your knowledge, performed, created, volunteered, or simply joined the conversation: thank you. Your generosity, curiosity, and commitment made SHORE TO SHORE a truly unforgettable experience.
While the journey across Western Newfoundland has come to an end, the connections we’ve built and the ideas we’ve sparked are just beginning. We look forward to carrying this momentum forward and continuing to work together toward vibrant, resilient rural communities.
Thank you for being part of SHORE TO SHORE 2026. Here’s to the conversations that continue long after the journey ends.
